The user interface of any 3d software package can be a little overwhelming, especially when using one that you’re not too familiar with. There may be many tools, menus or buttons you don’t need, or care to use. UI customization is key, to not only increase overall speed and ease of use, but to greatly improve productivity.

In this tutorial Shaun Keenan will show you how to completely customize the ZBrush user interface and set it up in a way that makes sense for your particular working style. No longer will you need to waste time hunting around for a specific brush or tool, everything can be ‘one-click’ away and locked in a location you choose!

    My customization is as follows:
Brushes docked at the bottom with keyboard shortcuts mapped to all of them.
    Move/Clay/Standard/Trim Dynamic/Trim Adaptive/Inflat/Pinch/Flatten/Hpolish/Polish/Clip Circle/Clip Curve/Clip Rectangle/ Layer/Dam Standard/Clay Tubes/Clay Buildup/Slash 3/Planar/Curve Tri Fill/Weighted Smooth Mode

    Custom Menu consists of:
    Accu curve/Imbed/Backface Mask/Gravity Strength/Roll Mode/Roll Distance/Replay Last/

I think the most important thing is to have the brushes that use most often set to hotkeys because you will be switching to them quite frequently/

When rendering just go to Render>Render palette and dock it. Dont have things out if you dont need them out.
