    hey Aleksey, great tutorial!

And great timing as well! I’m working on my finals-project and it’s set on the top of a few rooftops.
We just had a lesson on the basics of xpresso and learned the use of “user data”, i combined the 2 and i can now operate the amount of floors with a slider!

i don´t know if that was your plan in part2 of your tutorial, but if you want to take a look at my c4d.doc, be my guest.

looking forward to the next tut. ciao

hey, yeah part 2 covers controllers for the buildings. I make them 3d controllers inside the scene though, for easier tweaking.

      glad you enjoyed it.

    Hey Aleksey

    Nice Tutorial.

    Solution for your Cloner/Axis Problem:
Select the floor object and go to Structure/Center Axis. This allows you to position the axis at the ‘bottom’ of the object by pulling the slider to Y -100%.

Another very useful feature is the ‘Reset PSR’ (can be found in the character menu somewhere)
This basically resets the position scale and rotation of the object according to its parent.

So if the object is inside a null object, it will get exactly same PSR.
If it is in global hierarchy, PSR will be 0, 0, 0

This is very useful in combination with ‘center axis’ to position stuff very accurately.
