You lost me at the animation part bro. Keyframe the 'Time' under Object explosion? I changed the percent from 0 to 50, right clicked on Time, add keyframe, then I moved the play head to 40 in the timeline did a right click and changed the number to 0, right clicked on Time, added a keyframe. It seems to work in perspective view but the cube doesn't move.

Thanks for the advice, I haven't checked the Arch Viz forums properly since I was trying it with maya a couple of years ago, and I hadn't thought about askin companies for ideas. I'm down with grabbing splines and vectors to get my shapes but I think there might be a bunch of corrupt/conflicting data with these drawings I've been trying to use. I'm gonna get my PC out of the wardrobe and sort out some clean lines in AutoCad methinks. Many thanks for the input.

Hrm. Architectural renderings aren't really my forte, or even in my field, so I'm not even sure where you could look for good advice.

One thing I do often is take an Illustrator 8 file, and import the spline information into C4D to then build geometry off of. I could do a tutorial on that - and it may help you - but it's a very loose interpretation of what I do to accomplish what you're describing.

If you don't mind being forward, I would either cruise forums for Architectural rendering artists, or even companies, asking them for tips on where to go. Personally, I don't mind when I get these requests concerning motion graphics, and usually just point them to places like CGTuts+. But I can't guarantee you'll get anywhere.

Good luck, man. I really wish I could help you more, though.

Hiya, I just posted some shizzle on that blender kitchen tutorial before checking this one so I thought I'd repost like a douche. I'll definitely be giving this one a go when my horrendous workload eases (don't get me wrong, horrendous is very reassuring especially being 'properly' self employed for only three weeks in this climate/money weather... blah blah etc.)

Anywho if you're taking requests I would love an architectural one in C4D? Outside of a bungalow or detached property, maybe interior for christmas. Or if anyone knows of a good book that would help? Got one but it's just aboot lighting in buildings. I'd love to explore it myself but I'm knee deep in claymation at the mo and am too much of a wank-spanner to figure it out for myself, I have tried myself many times but have no concept of the required workflow. I do however have a few sets of fairly simple working drawings (as DWG's, can happily convert these to .eps .dxf .ai or anything that might help), that I'd be more than happy to supply for a couple of properties I invented for a timber frame company I worked at for a bit.

Much love
