Vehicle Rendering With Fryrender

Vehicle Rendering With Fryrender

Tutorial Details

Final Product What You'll Be Creating

Rendering realistic vehicles is no easy task, the complexity of the surfaces and high reflectivity make getting good renders a time consuming, and often frustrating process. So we’ve enlisted the help of author Shaun Keenan to guide you through the process of creating a high quality, realistic vehicle render using Maya 2011 and Random Control’s physically accurate Fryrender.

Lesson Outline

  • Video 1: Light Plane setup
  • Video 2: Light plane materials
  • Video 3: Adding materials to our car
  • Video 4: Setting our initial render
  • Video 5: Adjusting our lights.

Fryrender is the physically-based light simulator developed by RandomControl. It is a photo-realistic render engine where all the elements involved in the generation of the final image (materials, lights and cameras) are based on physically accurate models. In Fryrender, when you hit the render button, a simulation of the real behavior of light happens inside. Because of this, it is possible to achieve hyper-realistic results with minimal effort.
