http://greyscalegorilla.com/blog/2010/05/how-to-make-the-the-discovery-channel-rebrand-cube-transition-effect-with-cinema-4d/
Really cool. Want to figure out how to do that in C4D as well.

That looks cool! Oh, and the article says, “great looking unfolding effect in May 2012 “.

any good script for 3DS Max?
Will let you know if i find some script like this for 3ds Max ……
I think you have to manually do it in 3ds Max ………….
But I will still give it a try …..
It would be great if you could find a way to do it in Max, Thanks in advance!
I can’t find the project files for this. I have looked on the premium content and nothing.
Hey Daniel,
Sorry about that, I’ve re-uploaded the project files and you’ll now be able to download them from the Cgtuts+ “Source Files” section.
Cheers,
Ben
Thanks!! :D
any script or any thing for do this effect in 3ds max????????????
When I have my first row selected and I click “Create folding group” and choose “X” I get an error:
” // Error: There are some objects has same center points !!!”
First of all, the grammar of the error alone pisses me off… Second of all, I can’t figure out why this is happening… I followed every single step of the video down to this, and it gives me an error…
Anyone encountered the same problem…?
Nevermind… I didn’t figure out the problem, but I started over, and now it works for some reason…
Sir, can we use this script in maya 2011? as its showing an error in 2012…
Cannot seem to locate the source files in the Premium section, have you a link to them?
Hey James,
Sorry about that, I looked but couldn’t find them either!
No worries though, I’ve gone ahead and re-added them to the source files section of premium. If you log-in to your account, go to “Source Files”, sort by “3D Graphics” (right side menu) you’ll find them about half way down the third page.
Cheers!
Chris
the video isnt working. is it down?
Hi Cory,
The video seems to be playing fine for me, could you give it another try? It may have just been a temporary problem with Blip.tv (which hosts our videos.)
Cheers,
Ben
