3D has experienced a massive resurgence in recent years, and become a standard in not only the film and television industries, but in video games and computer graphics as well… it’s literally everywhere. So in this tutorial Arnab Bhadra will teach you how to create your own 3D stereoscopic renders using 3D Studio Max 2012, and the free script “Render 3D” created by Andrew Dour. Nice tutorial!
Andrew’s script is awesome, it’s simple and fast. I’ve used it in some of my projects, stills and animations, always with good results.

Looks great, ideal for what i want but i can’t get it to work – the Dour category doesn’t come up in the toolbar options? The .dlv and script files are in the max startup folder – do i need to install something too?

    Thanks

For those having problems with TheDOUR category not showing up in Max. We discovered that the tutorial video and Andrew’s site do not explain correctly where to install the Render3D.mcr file. This should actually go into C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2012\UI\MacroScripts. Then the category will show up in you Toolbar list.
