Final Product What You'll Be Creating

In this tutorial from author Chandan Kumar, you’ll learn how to make a ‘Skrek 2′ inspired forming particle text animation in 3d Studio Max. Chandan will show how quickly this type of effect can be achieved using the power of Particle Flow, and how the influence and position of forces, such as wind and drag, can greatly alter the final result.

:( awesome tutorial, but i have a problem, dont know if anyone can help me with this, but particle flow just blatantly ignores any geometry i asign in “find target”, it doesnt take any notice of it. :/ thnks in advance to anyone who helps :)

    • Hi Adam T, I would request you to watch the tutorial again. Your answer lies in the tutorial itself. Watch every step and options carefully.
In my opinion, you should take care of the position of wind/drag in the scene too because it affects the “find target” thing. For more detail, please watch the tutorial again.

Im pretty much guessing here since I havent actually watched this specific tutorial.
The problem might be that you havent enabled mesh as find target method, instead of its icon which is default.
Prob should follow Kumars advice and watch the tutorial again as I am sure it is explained in more detail.

This is my first post and want to take time to say thanks to you Kumar for your tutorials in general, cheers!
