    hiiiiiiiiiiii

thanks Laurens for this awesome tutorial and i have question ??

in part 1 every thing is okay till using IK when i am going to make last step linking IKHandle_Momentum & Dummy_Momentum_Taget with Body_Susp my car getting Scale and every thing getting crazy

    * my car is seperated parts not one Object *

  • aman

sir please give us more tutorial

    • Ebay

For that to not happen, make sure you have a clean save to before you make the IK link. Then redo everything. Before making the IK, go to your car Hierarchy pannel, and check all the “Scale” locks. Also make sure to remove the “Inherit scale”. You might also want to do the same with the Dummy_Body_Momentum, as it get scaled down when you make the Position constraint.

    Hello,
After tutorial end when I rotate SlidePivot about Z axis more than 90 degree,
car body makes quick rotation on 180 degree. It is very strange.
I think that this tutorial has defect.

    But nevertheless, thank you

  • cj3d

    hello
that was a good tutorial but something makes it better :

in the float expression panel when you want to assign a controller to something , max highlightes
all the selected objects by yellow color so it makes finding controllers very easy.

  • Patrick

    Great tut.

One thing I notice is that sometimes the float expressions only go through frame 100 and then stop. Why is that?

    Thanks.

    • Pedro A.

      Great tut.
One thing I notice is that sometimes the float expressions only go through frame 100 and then stop. Why is that?
      Thanks.

me too… how to solve it?

      • Patrick

Hi Pedro, I think I found the solution:

Instead of using NT (which stands for “Normalized Time”) in the expression, substitute S (which stands for “Seconds”) as the multiplier. This will make the tires spin really fast, so you can cut the amount you are multiplying the S (seconds) by dividing the “Slider” scaler in half.

So instead of using -NT*Slider (or -NT*(Slider+Slider2) for the rear wheels), use -S*(.5*Slider) as the expression (or -S*((.5*Slider)+.5*Slider2)) for the rear wheels.

        Hope this helps.
        Patrick
