      Hey Goncalo,

We haven’t changed anything on the back end, so you should still be able to download each video by right clicking on the title and choosing “Save Link As…” or “Save Target As…”

I just tested it myself and it seems to be working, are you receiving a specific error when you try?

      Cheers!
      Chris

        Hello Chris

        Thank you for your call.

Lately when i do ” save target as ” i usualy been direct to a file that the name is quit right and is a mp4 file that i see well , but now i receive a file called ” Potatono-OOPViews677.mp4″ and the file is only 37 kb intead of 150 mb for exemple. But these file name apears in all 3g tuts files. Every file that i download have this fie name. Other thing is, if i click in video i receive a messege that i have to see the video with BLIP.COM player . I wiil try to resolve this if i could.

I ask if there was another way to receive these files like a link for exemple.

Thank you very much i Realy Like your Work and your brother too.

really amazing tut i like it so much :)

What is the total poly count of the model? I think if you didn’t subdivide all the pieces on the mesh, and you had it all textured, it would’ve been nice with a lower poly-count…

    Hey guys,

Sorry to hear some of you are still having a problem downloading the videos! Honestly I have no idea why it seems to be working for some of you, but not for others. Over the past six months we’ve been having a number of issues with our videos streaming from Blip.

They should be accessible (and downloadable) by everyone, but obviously that’s not the case. So I’ll see if we can get some direct download links up asap for anyone who needs them, while we try to get the problem sorted out!

    Cheers,
    Chris

    @Antoine & @DT

Thanks for pointing this out! We take plagiarism very seriously, and while this is a 3D Studio Max tutorial and the one on Digital Tutors is for Maya, I agree they are very similar in appearance.

However the author’s are working with different software packages and Caterpillar models (the 797B vs the 789C) so it’s clearly not a case where the author has directly copied the tutorial.

As far as the workflow and techniques being used in this tutorial. I can say based on my own experience, that they are standard hard surface modeling techniques that can be found in numerous free tutorials online. So it would be impossible for us to say for certain where and when the author learned these techniques, but we would like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I really dont know what to say, I really did my best to make this tutorial. First of all on Digital Tutors web site there is no modeling process (just short review how author made some patrs). And second you can pay for tutorial on Digital Tutors or you can learn here how to make that truck for free. Or you can illegally download (what some of you maybe did) DT tutorial and learn in that way. Its your choice. I hope that i helped to some people to learn something for free and thats my goal here.
