Create a Realistic Looking Nokia 5800 in 3ds Max – Day 2

In this multi-part, hard surface modeling, texturing, and rendering tutorial, you will learn how to quickly create a realistic looking Nokia 5800. The techniques shown in this tutorial can easily be applied to other 3d applications, and the methods of making the phone itself are fast, and very efficient. Though the resulting mesh will not be perfect, the final render will still look great, thus the goal of this tutorial is not to teach you how to make a perfect mesh, but to teach you a trick or two about fast and efficient modeling.

could we have something like this – detailed moddeling of tech. objects – for Cinema 4D?! 3D Max is not the Prog everyone is using…someone still prefer C4D. I would appreciate it. Im missing tuts for it.

But really nice tutorial, keep up the great work. I know the 3ds community will like it!

    Cheers

    Pat

thanks for taking the time doing the tutorial

patweiss: not the prog everyone is using???…sorry to disappoint you but at least in the gaming industry almost every small/big company I know uses 3ds max…(or maya) cinema 4d was basically mac app (now windows too I think). macs are not the standard in any important 3d industry (gaming, film, etc)
So I think think your comment is based on your personal thought about what you think people want.

your’re right, i know the big companies are using 3ds. but i also know there is a big community of c4d outside which would love to see c4d tuts ;) its not the number one 3d app, but its still here :)

just wanted to mention, that i miss tuts for it.
