Cinema 4D: Using Sound Effector to Create Animations

Cinema 4D: Using Sound Effector to Create Animations

Sound effector is a tool of the Mograph module in Cinema 4D that you can use to create animations which are perfectly matched to a sound or musical score. Through this tutorial you are going to learn how to use sound effector as well as its fine-tune function. We will also use Adobe After Effects to blend the animation that was exported from Cinema 4D with the sound track to make our final composition.

Create a Jumping Lamp Animation in C4D – Day 2

Create a Jumping Lamp Animation in C4D – Day 2

This tutorial is a relatively quick overview of setting up a scene with a rigged animated object in Cinema4D. Although it should be simple to follow along to anyone with a basic knowledge of Cinema 4D, this tutorial is mainly aimed at artists migrating to Cinema4D from another package.

Create a Dynamic Marble Simulation using Mograph in Cinema 4D

Create a Dynamic Marble Simulation using Mograph in Cinema 4D

In this beginner/ intermediate level Cinema 4D tutorial, you will learn how to use a particle emitter and gravity from the Mograph module to create a dynamic simulation of marbles falling into a glass bowl. You will also learn a technique on how to make more glass look more convincing from the basic banji shader, and how to light your scene with global illumination.

Create an Absract Furry Eye Scene using Cinema 4D

Create an Absract Furry Eye Scene using Cinema 4D

In this intermediate to advanced level tutorial you will learn to use primitives, SweepNurbs, complex materials, and the hair module to create this very interesting abstract Eye with Hair. Using Advanced Render to create a sharp and convincing final image will also be discussed.

Using Depth of Field with VRay in Cinema 4D

Using Depth of Field with VRay in Cinema 4D

Using the DOF effect in Cinema 4D can be a little tricky for beginners, and it was no different for me when I had just started using VRay. So I’ve prepared this tutorial to show you how easy it can be once you understand the fundamentals. Creating a scene lighting setup from scratch, and using object based lighting techniques will also be covered.

Create an Abstract Disco Ball Scene with Cinema 4D

Create an Abstract Disco Ball Scene with Cinema 4D

In this tutorial you will discover how easy it can be to create compelling abstract CG images with Cinema 4D. Follow along as Konstantin Muromtsev demonstrates how he created his animated Disco Ball scene, using primitives, structure tools, the Mograph Cloner object, and random effectors. Adding post effects like Caustics and Glow, and rendering the scene with Advanced Render will also be discussed.

Seamlessly Blend 3d Typography with a Photo using Cinema 4D and Photoshop

Seamlessly Blend 3d Typography with a Photo using Cinema 4D and Photoshop

Seamlessly blending 3d elements with photographs or video footage is a technique that is often used in television, film, and commercial applications. In this tutorial you will to learn how to composite 3d typography with photo reference using Cinema 4D and Photoshop. We will begin by using Photoshop to adjust some parameters such as contrast, brightness, levels, curves, and sharpness, and then finally import the file into Cinema 4D to add the 3d type.

Motion Graphics: Project Workflow – Day 3

Motion Graphics: Project Workflow – Day 3

Eventually we all want to move beyond tutorials and actually start to deal with clients. Whether at a production house or on your own, one of the most fundamental aspects of professional design is a solid project workflow. In this tutorial series, we’ll examine the different aspects of working in a project-like environment, and how our techniques interact with a client in a real-world situation.

Tutorial Removed

Unfortunately, the CGtuts+ staff have had to remove a recently published tutorial titled “Create a Dynamic Collision Animation with the Mograph 2 Module in Cinema 4D”, as the techniques being taught closely resemble those of an existing tutorial. When this situation occurs, unfortunately, the tutorial is removed and payment is not made to the author of the tutorial. Claims of plagiarism are taken very seriously and thoroughly investigated on this site and always something to be aware of. We appreciate the communities diligence in catching this and have removed this tutorial from the site. Thanks.

Cinema 4D: An Introduction to Caustics

Cinema 4D: An Introduction to Caustics

Caustics refers to the mathematical equations that describe how light converges in nature, such as the effect that is seen at the bottom of pools and lakes when light passes through the surface of the water. Cinema 4D can perform both surface and volume caustics. In this tutorial, you will learn how surface caustics can be used to create a pool with a floating translucent orb, and volume caustics can be applied to demonstrate a stained glass effect. Render settings, and time savers will also be discussed.
