As I look outside my window on a grey and snowy day, I feel like I could use a little sunny HDRi sky to drop into the background. So today we’re going to do a rundown of some of the top HDRi skies from over at our sister site 3dOcean. Let’s do this!

Full spherical HDRI sky panorama (360° & 180°) of a rainy sky after a heavy thunderstorm (12:32). A real captured sky (not a computer generated one) with all its richness and detail. Texture has a high resolution of 10000×5000 pixel and can be used as skydome for image based lighting (GI).
Approx 7000px wide, good enough in some cases to be used as the directly visible sky. When you want more control, or the sky is visibly low res, you can use the supplied 12 megapixel jpg backplates.
6000px wide, good enough to be used as the actual background. You may use the provided .jpg version that has been filtered with a natural film response algorithm for a much nicer overall look.
