Today we’re super excited to bring you this amazingly detailed character model from Cgtuts+ regular Shaun Keenan. Shaun has re-created “Pyro” from Valve’s hit game Team Fortress 2 in glorious detail, and is making the model available to the Cgtuts+ community for free! My name is Shaun Keenan and I am a character modeler and rigger. I am currently unemployed and looking for some full time work. I have created this Pyro character in homage to Valve’s Team fortress 2 Game. It’s a game with a very stylized and overall awesome style. Very fun to play in terms of the visual appearance and look. This game and company is a very large sense of motivation in all my artwork. This is my contribution to the CG community.

    Fantastic model there. I would be awesome to see your work flow for creating models like this too.
    I started learning 3ds Max about a year ago now and I want to eventually specialise in Character modelling; I would love to be able to create models this good one day.. Why has no one given you a job?!

      Hey Jamie,
      Keep learning Max, but I would recommend for character making, that you look into Zbrush. It changes the entire workflow for character making as if you were to just using Max.

    Chan I am thinking about doing a tut for a character but it will require allot of time and work .Cause i plan on doing a new character from start to stratch for my whole process .So we will see.Just keep an eye out .

    Well I would rig it but unfortanatly I just dont have the time to get it done right .Maybe eventually I will do some rigging for this but not sure when .
