In this tutorial we will take a look at the workflow between Maxwell Render/Studio and 3D Studio Max. Although we will be using Maxwell 2, the information should be applicable for earlier versions as well. We will explore materials, lighting, and most environment and camera setups. But more than this, you will learn all that you need to get you up and running with Maxwell Render, and the Stand alone application Maxwell Studio.

Hi,
Thanks for the tutorial. I have been trying to fully learn maxwell for a while now, but the amount of training available for learning is very limited, even think.maxwell.com have only a few tutorials. thanks again, hope to see more like this is the future.
Thank you.
Yes, truly an excellent resource for Maxwell. Cool you made a tut for this app. Evan.
I also hope for more tut’s on Maxwell
Thanks alot

Excelent Tutorial, Man. Im a Maxwell noob, and your tut really helped me to understand its principles.
Thank you!
nice tut, but not everybody has this plugin
Maxwell is a plugin, but also a complete stand alone rendering suite. I have used this app for a looong time, and I know it has a niche user base, but tutorials are few and far between for it.
But I know now everyone has it, sorry about that. There are some rendering principles that you can use in other packages as well though.
oh wow this is perfect been dying to find one of these.
thank you, great one
Nice to see Maxwell getting some attention here. It’s not that widely popular – but had made a big change in all the render engines ever since it got out. Almost all host a physical correct work-flow with a sky system and real life values for lighting – none had that before Maxwell Render.
I had it since the alpha version and even back then it had amazing output (some argue that the early alpha was better the what we have now!)
I think any 3d artist doing work related to real life or need to simulate lighting condition can learn from tutorials related to Maxwell Render about how to approach this in other render engines too.
Thanks again!
There is more on the way. Maxwell is my favorite renderer by far. There is so much that it can do I dont think I could exhaust the possibilities.

Thank A Lot
Tutorial is really great one but I think I need some more to learn it completely.
expect for some more in FUTURE.
