Winner Announced: Win an Amazing CG Tutorial DVD from Eat 3d!!
Well 2010 is finally here, and after 12 days of giveaway awesomeness, we thought what better way to kick off the new year with, well..another awesome giveaway!! And this is no ordinary giveaway my friends….because CGTuts+ has now teamed up with CG tutorial powerhouse Eat 3d to give you the chance to win one of four (count ‘em…four!) incredible tutorial DVDs!!.
“Eat 3d has been feeding your brain for almost 2 years with some of the highest quality training that exists. Our goal is to cut through all the nonsense and get straight to the point with practical real world exercises that professionals actively use in production. We are honored to be a part of this new challenge by CGTuts+!” (Riki Babington, President/CEO, Eat 3D, LLC).
The Fountain – High Res Modeling
In this demonstration the instructor creates the high res version of a complex modular fountain from scratch with 3ds Max 2010. The sculpting portions of the video are done twice, once in Mudbox 2009 and again in Zbrush 3.1.
ZBrush 3.5 – A Comprehensive Introduction
In this DVD the instructor goes over the fundamentals of ZBrush 3.5. As the training progresses, basic concepts are covered in detail, and eventually advanced solutions are discussed on a number of techniques including the new features in ZBrush 3.5.
In this demonstration the instructor starts off by explaining the very fundamentals of using Photoshop for texturing. From there he goes into depth on how to set up your high res and low res meshes for rendering Normal, AO, and other Maps.
Classical Sculpting – Anatomy and Figurative Art for Digital Sculptors
In this lecture the instructor demonstrates the digital sculpting and rendering of a classical style marble sculpture, showing how accurate anatomy and a dynamic pose combine to produce a professional and aesthetically pleasing result.
In this novel approach to teaching anatomy, the instructor regularly overlays the model with anatomy images as he sculpts, which makes it easy to visualize how the underlying anatomy relates to the sculpted surface of the model.
